
Yesterday night, as I stood on the front porch, there was a power blackout. Suddenly, the sky lit up with thousands of stars which, a few moments ago, were neither so many in number nor as sparkling.
Also, they seemed to have stepped down from their high perch.
I felt tempted to reach out and grab a handful, but I didn’t – that would have driven the scientists mad.
It felt very peaceful and secure, our world wrapped in that cloak of darkness, shimmering with jewels.
